This is the Patta x Vans Old Skool from the Mean Eyed Cat pack, a collaboration with the Amsterdam label rather than a general release. It has a tan suede toe, eyestay and heel, and canvas quarters with Patta's script logo printed large in white across both sides. The sidestripe is tonal tan leather, set on a black sidewall with MEAN EYED CAT printed at the heel, over a gum waffle outsole. It comes with its full set of Team Patta branded laces: the black pair fitted, plus spare white and tan pairs.
Wax & Waffle Evaluation
Grade: Great — 8/10
Upper: Suede cleaned dry and brushed to lift and even the nap. Canvas spot-cleaned with foam, working gently around the printed script, which is intact on both shoes.
Foxing and soles: Black sidewall cleaned back to its satin finish, with the MEAN EYED CAT print crisp and complete. Gum outsole damp-wiped, with light, even wear through the waffle.
Interior: Cleaned, sanitised and deodorised. Insoles freshened.
Laces: Original black Team Patta laces, cleaned and refitted.
Flaws: A small pale scuff on the suede at the base of the left heel, and faint handling marks on the toe suede. Light marking on the white spare laces. All shown in photos.
Extras: Two spare sets of Team Patta laces, in white and tan.
